"Caution: Small Portions and High Prices"
A friend, our two boys, and I decided to check out Tapas Revolution in Bluewater. I picked this spot since I’ve had great meals there before, plus they sent me an email offering a free bottle of cava for my birthday.

However, they’ve done away with kids' menus, leaving only a couple of non-spicy options for the little ones—think bread and meatballs. The service was pretty lackluster, too.

Our bill came to over £100, and that didn’t even include drinks. The kids were still hungry, so we had to grab something for them afterward. So, that’s about £50 per adult.

The portions were absurdly small. Honestly, one dish isn’t even enough for a single person. I get that tapas are supposed to be small bites, but this was just ridiculous.

I had trouble with the cava voucher; the emails wouldn’t work. I even had to pop into another restaurant to see if I could connect to their Wi-Fi. One staff member at Tapas Revolution suggested I “try walking around” for a better signal. I even forwarded the email to my friend to see if she could access it, but no luck. It turned out the voucher itself had an error, not the internet. The first staff member said she couldn’t give it to us without the voucher, but another one finally agreed to help us out halfway through the meal, while still asking us to keep trying for the voucher.

The whole dining experience was far from relaxing. With two hungry kids and mediocre food, it was a bit of a disaster.

To top it off, I filled out their online feedback form and never heard back. I even posted on Instagram about the tiny portions, and I noticed others had similar complaints. But when I checked back, all the negative comments were gone (only the good ones remained), and I found I had been blocked.

It’s absolutely outrageous. People should have the right to see both the good and the bad reviews before deciding to eat there. I’d highly recommend checking the menu beforehand since prices have also gone up.

And just a heads up, the photos on Instagram don’t match what you actually get at the restaurant.

"Can't believe the menu changes!"
I just can't wrap my head around the fact that you took off the torenzo con mojo (slow cooked belly pork) and pulpo (octopus with potatoes) from the menu!!! Seriously, who in their right mind would get rid of such incredible dishes? Tapas used to be my go-to spot in London, but after this, you've lost me as a regular! Honestly, shame on whoever made this decision. I mean, do you really want to drive away customers? This change is just ridiculous! ✌🏼

"Steer Clear!"
This was my first time at this 'restaurant' and it definitely will be the last. The menu is super limited, and I had a hard time finding anything that suited my palate. I only stuck around because I was with a group of friends for a pre-Christmas gathering. What I ended up with was bland and easily forgettable. My friends who ordered the £30 paella got a not-so-big pan of rice with just a couple of pieces of protein on top. Way overpriced and way overrated. No surprise it was empty.

"The worst dining experience I've ever had"
We've been to this place before and it was great, but we won't be going back. A server noticed we got some of our food but didn’t have a plate or utensils. She just shrugged it off and went to other tables, and we never saw her again. I had to ask another staff member for the cutlery and plates. By the time we finally started eating, the food was cold. We managed to eat some of the bread, potatoes, and mushrooms before the meatballs showed up. The second meat dish never made it to our table. When it was time for the bill, I mentioned to the waiter that we were missing a meal, but he still brought the receipt that included the dish we didn’t get. I requested to speak with the manager, but instead, the waiter just took off five pounds from the total. There was a service charge added that definitely wasn’t earned. We spent 43 pounds and left feeling hungry. Just terrible service. To top it off, another customer had oil spilled on her coat by the waiter, and when she asked for a cloth, he just walked by me laughing and making silly noises.

"Steer Clear!"
We dropped £68.91 on tapas and honestly, we were pretty disappointed with the portion sizes, especially at £18 for just three dishes. A bunch of the items we wanted weren’t even available on the menu. They also hit you with a £6.50 charge for a larger drink. To top it off, they sneak in a service fee of £7.66 without a heads-up. That’s a 12.51% charge, and it feels like they’re skirting the law by not letting folks know.

They even cleared our table while someone was still munching away! Now we get why the place is so empty when other spots are packed.

Would I ever go back? Absolutely not!

"Outstanding Food and Service"
*Brighton Location* The cuisine is top-notch - every single time. The last visit felt like a different chef was at the helm since the menu remained unchanged, yet the flavors had a SLIGHTLY fresh twist - and it was a pleasant surprise. I honestly didn’t think it could get any better, but it sure did! AND THE TEAM!! All of them are amazing. A few really shine, but everyone is super friendly and on the ball. I tell everyone about this place and I’d return in a heartbeat. Recommendations: We always opt for the small plates (you know, given the name!). Love every single one, but the Pork Belly, Broccolini, and Aubergine Fingers are definitely the stars.

"Hide and Seek at the Birmingham Location"
The Arroz Polio Con Chorizo for £9.95 was mostly just a heap of clumped rice. At least it came with a friendly smile. The four bits of chicken were about the size of a tiny fingernail. The two Chorizo slices were buried under a mountain of rice. And can you believe a pint of beer costs £6.50? I didn’t even have a moment to voice my concerns since I was rushing to catch a train.

"Good Meet & Greet, but the Bill Was a Mess"
The Meet & Greet was pretty decent, and they did a solid job explaining the lunch deal. Placing the order based on that info went smoothly too. But then came the bill, which was a total headache. It should've been just two lunch specials for £21.90, plus two soft drinks at £4 each, some bavas for £4, and a Con Choc Dessert for £6.25, adding up to £32.19. Instead, it was nearly £39! I talked to the manager, who said it was a staff mistake with the drinks, and then they slapped on a 12.5% service charge. What a joke! I won't be dining there again, and that service charge was just not cool, with no choice given. It's a real bummer because we actually liked the food.

"Steer Clear of This Place"
We’ve been to this eatery at Bluewater twice now. The first visit was decent, but we ended up next to the trash, where the staff kept dumping dirty dishes. It was pretty gross. Yesterday, we decided to try again and ordered two paellas, sitting further away from the bins, hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, the rice was all dried out, with just a few seafood pieces on top. It didn’t feel like a proper paella; more like something left over for a dog.

"Trip to Sheffield on 23/07/22"
My trip to Sheffield on 23/07/22 was a letdown. I opted for two small dishes and one big one, which set me back £14.95. The large dish had just two small pieces of pork and two green peppers. I mentioned it wasn’t really large, and they said they’d informed management that the menu is misleading. I ended up leaving some food because it was tough and not really edible. Honestly, I felt a bit cheated.

"Massive Letdown"
I've visited Tapas Revolution in Bath quite a few times before and was looking forward to the usual delicious dishes when we returned on June 24th, but things have really taken a turn for the worse. The service was excellent, but the food? Not so much. The Patatas Bravas were lacking sauce, just a smidge of Alioli on top, making them super dry. The Marinara Frutera was bland, with low-quality fish, overcooked squid, and prawns that were bone dry. The chorizo was burnt and dry, while the Croquetas Jamon were overcooked, tasteless, and barely had any ham in them. I'm really let down, especially since they used to be fantastic. I won't be returning anytime soon!

"Top Pick for Dining in Birmingham: Great Vibes and Delicious Eats"
This is my go-to spot in Birmingham. I've been here a bunch of times this year. The staff is super friendly and really considerate about allergies. They go above and beyond to help. Everyone is very courteous. Sandra was our server, and she was attentive, warm, and inviting. Other team members greeted us with a cheerful 'ola' as we walked by and shared some nice words when we left. It was lovely to experience that.

"Experience at Grand Central Birmingham"
I went to the Grand Central Birmingham eatery today with a couple of pals. We got seated right away by a friendly young woman, but then we were left hanging for 20 minutes without anyone taking our order or even checking if we wanted drinks. We ended up leaving and explained our situation to a lady in a red jacket who seemed completely lost, and we figured she was the manager just because of her outfit. When you're shelling out £18.95 for three tapas and £5.95 for a beer, you kinda expect decent service, but we got none. I’ll give 1 star for the young lady who welcomed us.

"Good food, but service needs work"
We popped into this eatery at Birmingham Grand Central during the bank holiday. Having been there before, we were excited to return. It was packed, but we requested a table for two, and the waitress mentioned they could squeeze us in... awesome! However, as we made our way to the table, the waitress got stopped by a woman who seemed to be the manager. This lady then went on to scold the waitress right in front of us and other diners, complaining about how busy they were, and it just got uncomfortable. We ended up turning around and leaving. That’s no way to treat your employees, especially in front of a full house. Not cool at all, and it’s a shame because I won’t be coming back!

"Really let down"
I've been a loyal patron of Tapas Revolution for ages and usually love going there. But, man, the last three times I've been, especially with the new menu, have been a real letdown. The quality of the food has clearly dropped, both in terms of the ingredients and the flavor. The staff are still trying hard, but if the food doesn't get back to how it used to be, I might have to find somewhere else to eat.
